I tried to cast miracast from my laptop (300£ worth Asus) to TV and it works perfect. It does support Miracast, Screen Share/Mirroring and has WiFi-Direct. It does NOT go through a router, even if the PC and TV are on the same Wi-Fi network, so if youre currently trying to project to the TV while your PC is farther away and are expecting the router to bridge the gap, then that could be the issue as well. it connects directly from the laptop to the TV. I have searched over the web for the last 4 days to find a solution to make it work, and what I guess I am just missing some kind of device in my PC to make a Miracast to work on it.
